Not long got in.

Switched on PC and TV and made myself a coffee.

Busied myself putting a few groceries away in the kitchen and realised that Jeremy Kyle was on ITV2 when the telly sparked into life.

Was just about to go and take my wheelie bin round to the front garden for tomorrow's collection, when......

..
..
..

(this is extremely hard to type)

..
..
..

I actually..... paused the TV set-top receiver before moving the bin so I didn't miss the result of the "Who stole my laptop" lie detector test.

This must go down as quite possibly the most embarrassing and uncomfortable confession I've ever had to make.

Can I be cured?

Am I lost to you for ever?

Is it actually more shameful that I must have been watching ITV2 before I last turned off the set?

Are you going to leave it at this?  Or are you going to put us out of our misery and tell us WHO STOLE THE LAPTOP???

I can't stand the tension...

Does ITV2 have catchup?  Do I have time to get home before it's over?

Looks like you're a habitual offender mate........luckily, you're not completely lost.......the only cure for this is 5 days of solitary confinement within the FSF walls.

 No way Mesh.....

..... in fact, that's marginally worse than the fourteen hours of self-flagellation and Brillo Pad eyeball scouring I had planned by way of redemption

Could have been worse.

Could have been BBC3.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It just means you've lost the will to live. I had a similar experience some years ago during a period of unemployment when I took to watching Neighbours at lunchtime. On one particular day I watched the show as usual and at some point later I became aware that it had become dark and I was watching the 5:30pm repeat. It happens to the best of us.

But....

....what about Family Guy and repeats of Dr Who?

I'd imagined you'd be more constructive with your reprimand James

Well, variety is certainly the s-pice to life......so, I say don't hold back and just go for it all. You can even consider this to be a "complete makeover".
Out with the old, and in with the gnu.

S'trewth cobber that's more distressing than a dingo's didgeridoo.

I don't feel quite so bad now.
