I'm trying to set up EZPlayer pro so I can use Toontrack's midi files with Abbey Road 60s drum (in Sonar 8.5 PE).

I set up EZPlayer and it seems to work fine. I can browse and audition midi grooves. (at least, it looks like it is playing the midi files). I chose "Kontakt" as Drum Wrap.

I then created the Abbey Roads/Kontakt synth and chose EZPlayer drum map. however, playing midi files did not result in anything audible. I then tried the same with Superior Drummer 2 (change Drum Wrap to Superior Drummer), again no result.

Any advice on how to set this up? Thanks.

Did you select "Enable MIDI Output" in the "Insert Soft Synth Options" box when you inserted EZPlayer Pro?  Also, is the Kontakt track's input set to EZPlayer's MIDI Out Channel?

thanks.

enabling midi output and also setting Abbey Road's midi channel to omni (instead of default 1) solved it.

I always forget how to setup EZ Player.  I thought there was a link in the plugin to the manual.  There are various setup instructions there for different recording programs.
