I remember one of the guys in Yes saying Rick showed them the paint roller thing when he first auditioned with them and they didn't quite know what to make of it.

Funny bloke is Rick, his 'Grumpy Old Rock Star' books are well worth a read.
 
Had to have a listen to 'Lay Down' after watching this, love that song, although I know it's not really representative of their output.
