It's fun and a good chance to play with all our fancy goodies. For me personally it's helped get my production time down. The first thing I did for bapu was only some back ups and it took me forever. This one I had in the bag the night after he sent me the tracks and the first night/next day was mostly spent re-working the words and practicing. I would like another crack at it though but I don't have time right now.

Besides... who doesn't love monkeys... except perhaps Daryl. I mean he never even talks about monkeys. It just ain't right.

Tom Jones eat yer heart out.  Love the bluegrass feel on the track, and Beepster's vocal is perfect for it.

Gotta' throw in with Frank on the silliness part.  Yeah, it's cute and all, but I think the comical lyrics distract the listener from what otherwise would have been a really well done and fresh off-genre take on a big pop ballad.  Next time you have an approach this clever, play it straight (i.e.- lyrically).

All told though, a great job by all.

This was a barrel of fun guys.  It sounds like the monkey might be the gorill-of your dreams (sorry -- that was just 2/3 of a pun --PU).  It all sounded good to me (playing, mix, vocals, lyrics and oh ya, the jaw harp).  Best yet -- it was pure humourous entertaining music.
