Nice tune, I wasn't here for the rough draft, but this version sounds really well done. The "B section" (if you wanna call it that) was most certainly a contrast!! You definitely did not Pizz me off with this one!!

Yep the contrast is defo there ! I took the last part of the string melody before the break,and harmonised each note into chords in a cycle of fourths to make up the b section.Its a technique I read about and have wanted to use it for ages.It is a big change though lol,but I quite like how the melody all of  a sudden thickens  in the break,so yes I stuck with this one :)

I loved the cycle of fourths technique !! Its really simple to use,you make the last note in the melody the tonic chord,and then you harmonise each note leading to it with chords moving in 4ths.So if the tonic is C,and u have 4 notes in the melody and ending on the C, you would have A7,D7,G7 and C. Because its such a strong progression you can get away with really funky dissonant melodies :))
The idea for the song came from my french girlfriend ,who is prob sick of me writting songs about her lol

Actually, while that is the "Cycle of Fourths," (The backbone of "Cirlcle Progressions") you've implemented the "Secondary Dominant" variation. Just thought I'd point that out as your VI7 and II7 are supposed to be minor, These would then turn out to be V7/ii (A7) and V7/V (D7). There is the root of a fourth movement which I think is what you mean. And yes, that's how chords love to move often. I guess my next question will be about the contrasting "B section." How'd you come up with that?
