I watched this game because they actually had a good team matchup. The game was actually a good one to watch.
What does baffle me is the selection of Katie Perry being the half-time entertainment. What's with that? Yea, I get it that the Superbowl has now been made into almost a national holiday and family event. Someone like her can cater to the 'new' fan base. But it was downright teeny-boppish. Not even Lenny Kravitz could save it. Why can't they get the Beach Boys? Everybody loves the Beach Boys to some extent. Hay, Paul McCartney was in the audience. Call him out for a song or two.
Not that any of these half-time shows are ever that good, but its football for crying out loud.
I also watched it and thought it was a good game (I hate to see one sided wins). Seattle should've just run the ball and slammed it into the endzone for the victory.......but, it was not meant to be.
I don't get caught up in all the (fake) hype that most of the country goes through for the game......my wife even asked me if I wanted something specially made for the game and I didn't really want anything......just wanted to see a hard fought game.
Complete agree on the Katy Perry thing as well.........she seems more suiteded for the girls/teenagers. They would've had much better success with Pit Bull..........he seems to be more popular and liked by many genre's.......(although I'm not particlarly a fan). The commercials were also very lackluster and boring......they used to have some really good stuff in the past and a lot of the older ones were quite funny.
I still enjoyed the game.....which is what I'm actually interested in.
