No one, not even AVID themselves think that this update is a priority...

Interestingly enough, according to a video on PT Experts, one of the new features in 12 is: longer start up times.

That thing looks better and better each day...

Every time I start up PT (11), I have this "oh, that's right..." moment when I'm reminded that it takes quite a while to load, even if I have very few 3rd party AAX plug-ins. I'm used to Logic which starts up in a blink.

I'm definitely not looking forward to that...

I haven't noticed any longer startup times...
even with large projects...they actually seem to
be somewhat less...but that's purely a perceptual
observation, not a timed one...

It remains to be seen how they "roll out the
added features that are supposed to be coming
forthwith...we shall see...

Amateur Tools works fine for me... Pro Tools indeed.

It would seem that most are just not going to do Pro Tools 12

Here's a survey from Pro Tools Expert

you have to complete the survey to see the results...

I'm sticking with PT 11 native until native is no longer considered a 3rd world product by Avid.

I'm using 12, and there are only very minor differences...

Here's to hoping that Avid is quick to get the new features
implemented...but, if it's anything like the upgrade debacle,
that doesn't give me a warm, fuzzy feeling

At least I know I get next years version too,
as I already have the license...

Larry, are you using native or HD?
