That does look cool, but why are they using the Windows Store?  Why wouldn't you want the greatest amount of people to run your software?  Building it for Win8 exclusively seems bizarre.  They give an answer on their site about Win8 being the only OS that supports meaningful pen input, but that can't be right.  Graphics programs in every modern OS have been supporting pressure sensitivity and all the other features of pens for many years now.

Looks great! $50 introductory price in the windows store. I just upgraded my Notion 4 to 5 and bought the iPad version. Kind of kicking myself. This might be a cool integration into Sonar if it were feasible to do. Would leapfrog some developmental iterations and bring cake's touch technology up a few notches too. I like the active pen technology and imagine it would be great for editing automation, midi entry (prv) tempo maps, etc.

Looks pretty incredible. Wonder how well it would work inside Sonar. I've been looking at tablet options at the moment and I'm torn between an Android or Windows tablet. I keep leaning towards Android because I already have a lot of apps for it (TouchOSC is amazing) and because of cost. The only Windows tablet I've seen that I liked using Windows was Surface Pro but they start at $800 for 64gig. That's not much when running a full version of Windows.

Plus, the Windows App store is a bit of a joke. :(

I don't get all the love for Apple. I own an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4S. The bastards stop supporting old OS's once you make the mistake of upgrading as they try to keep all of their devices on the same OS. The problem is my iPad keeps losing its ability to connect (it's wifi only), and my iPhone can't connect to wifi anymore at all. There are all sorts of similar complaints all over the web but when you speak up about it on any forum, the Apple lovers jump all over insisting you're a troll or an Android user (which I am too - I have a galaxy tab 3 which just works, period). Apple doesn't let you roll your operating system back - it is no longer available. Unbelievable. There should be a class action suit against this sort of crap.
Even looking at the Cakewalk Instruments forums, I am shocked at the number of people mad at Cakewalk for the fact that Apple broke z3ta2 with one of their OS upgrades. NOBODY is pissed at Apple despite the fact that they broke it (I am not supporting cake, as this has been going on a long time, etc). But fair is fair.
I would never, ever, ever (again) buy an apple anything. Just my highly biased opinion, I know.
Re android, I have the fl mobile studio, and a couple of other things on my Samsung, it's ok, but latency is a common issue that is still a big limitation compared to the iPad. I think the windows tabs would be the way to go all else being equal, but ya, the price stings.
