Price and lack of apps is my issue. Most developers focus on either IOS or Android and forget that WinMo is a thing. Even with the Surface Pro using an actual Windows OS rather than WinMo, there aren't many apps you can use that are developed for Windows to be used as a mobile device. It's a real toss up. :\

Ya i understand. Apple is definitely the leader here. Not even close. I wish it wasn't this way because i think they are despicable. I guess my hope is that something like this app may lead the change, even though it's a bit of a niche product. The touted pen technology however may be a bit of a differentiator (don't know much about how it's different). Especially if the apps are portable to pc's running touchscreen on windows 8.
if i bought this it would be to run in my daw in windows 8 with touch screen, and presumably, a pen.

How do you like it? I take it that there is no rewire capability?

I could run that on my Lenova Yoga 2, it folds into a tablet. I wonder how I'd link it up with my desktop DAW though. Perhaps through the router?

It's worth reading the reviews because there are some complaints about it. Currently $70 by the way.

On second thoughts, I've never had much luck with any kind of "recognition" software. Freaking Siri can't understand a word I'm saying and all the handwriting recognition apps I've tried have gotten things hysterically wrong (even though I have very neat writing). So although this looks great, I can see myself getting frustrated with it.

I have been playing with it for a some hours. And you have to watch the intro video before starting up. You can't just write something, you have to learn writing the way they tell you in the video. That said. I think this is a great workhorse of a writing tool. When you get the writing and understand the tools its easy. One thing tho, is that there is in app purchase of different instruments. And the church organ ones not have a pedal line. Of what I could se at last. So if you are making organ works with 4 voices and pedal, its doomed to be messy. This is maybe something they are working on.
With my Surface pro I don't hear much of the playback ether. There should be a mixer of sort. One other thing is tempo. Where is the tempo setting?
