Bah, hardly. Compared to this, my stuff is drivel. But I get a kick out of it and that's all that matters eh? So tell me, do you have any idea what the song "Bliss" is about? Is he singing about a child? The Dali Lama? I have no idea. Its like K.T. Tunstall's "Suddenly I See"... What.. what do you see? Ar Arrr Arrrrrrrrgggg! Sorry, did not meant to hijack your thread.

Noisy Neighbour

foxwolfen,

no high-jacking at all, I came up with the subject (I just had to tell somebody).
Im sure I still have the CD with "Bliss" on it somewhere. Haven't heard that one for years. Got to check it out. I'm totally absorbed by the "Resistance" and "The 2nd Law" albums at the moment.
'Might be worth to start a MUSE-thread at the Coffey House, before someone complaints that we're
high-jacking the song forum...ha,ha,ha. (did you see "the making of th 2nd Law" video...?)

Scottytunes,

thanks for your feedback! I'm using some Logitec computer speakers without a sub as grot-boxes to check my "mixes" regularly. Despite my username I never really crank up my Yamahas, which I think would also be important to hear how it translates, and to check the bass end. (We have very thin walls here in those old Amsterdam houses)

Mark,

Glad you dig it! The vocal production was actually the most challenging part for me. I've never had to deal with 3 different performances in one song before. Specially the guy who sings the 3rd verse is just getting his teeth fixed and showed up without his front teeth to the recording session. No d-essing required...L.O.L.

Old55,

Thank you, ...and I will keep trying...

Rikkie,

Nog eens bedankt en prettige kerstdagen gewenst ;)

thanx folks and have a happy xmas season!

Daniel
