Yea, the piano is doing some stuff vol wise that is strange.  Sometimes it pops out too loud or too upfront.  Other than checking that w/ vol automation you might pump the reverb up on it some - smooth out the rough edges.

Thanks, AT.  when I was taking voice lessons one of the students in my other class sat next to me at a recital and when I finished and sat back down next to her she said "you have a BIG voice!"  lol!  yeah, I know...

I'm working on the piano some more.  I had tried to adjust the velocities some based on earlier comments, but I think it needs more work.

I do have a new mix up now with adjusted piano level and more reverb on the vocals and I looked at panning problems and think I've adjusted it for now, let me know anyone, if you're still hearing panning issues.

I'll look more at the piano levels/velocities and see if I can adjust that better.  thanks everyone so far for your help!

This is sounding really good now.

So, just drop the whole piano by ~1-2db, add that acoustic guitar and it's baked (see what I done there?)

baps - thanks, I'm working on other songs right now, I might add one later.  the consenses I'm getting from this is that the piano doesn't carry the song by itself, so I need to look at adding an acoustic to it later.  thanks!
