I didn't get the email, needed the links sent to me for the main v2 install & saw the updates in my account. Then I saw the fixes posted over at KVR.

As Rick said make sure to set up AGhost so it scans your vst folder or you won't see them listed.

So the AGHost is imbedded in the installers, then?

I have AGM, AGT & used the full installer for each.
I'm guessing AGHost is included in every download but only gets installed once.
All versions of AGT, AGM are listed in mine.

It confuses me a little as I also have an ASHostx86 as well. It works & the models are listed but I didn't set the search path for that, only the 64b folder. I guess it found it automatically?

Ok, thanks Carl.

I had the links sent to my email, and I'll get to them tomorrow.

After you install just make sure to check what versions are there.

I had to dl & install the v2.0.2 updates after the main install.
The main install links they're emailing you just might include the newer updates.

The updates have caused Platinum to hang during VST search and even the old dlls no longer work...I posted this over at KVR but figured you all might have some thoughts... thanks in advance!

"This afternoon I downloaded the 1.8 and 2.0.2 updates and applied them to my win7 64 system Sonar Platinum DAW and all but AGT2 and AGM2 now hang in scan search. I've spent hours and am at a loss. Even the old dlls no longer work... I've searched for duplicate dlls and reinstalled the update several times and as soon as I remove the dlls, Sonar scans fine.

I'm putting Ample on the shelf for now as this has taken too much time. I assume a full reinstall of both the old AGT and AGM might be in order as well as AGG and AGF. But for now, I'm moving over to Orange trees Stratosphere/Strawberry/EAG. I don't know why things are hanging and everything worked fine before the updates. I have used these vsts in several songs and they are dead in the water now.

Do I need to do an uninstall of everything, just use windows uninstall (I tried this for AGM and appied the update but it still hung), or what...

Can I do a complete reinstall and will that overwrite the old setup and hopefully fix the problem?

I haven't actually tried AGT2 an AGM2 yet as this has taken the evening but I will tomorrow. However I want the originals to work also and they are now hanging up Sonar's vst Scan..."

I am rather frustrated with Ample at this point.  I've enjoyed the sound on several songs but their help system sucks, there are issues,  and maybe it's just the fun I've been having with Greg's new engine... They were not cheap and hope I can get this sorted....Oh and the installer seems to put the dlls in amples folder along with everything else no matter that I told the installer where to put them.  They hang no matter where I put them...

Thanks, all in advance.

Not sure but sounds like you tried to patch the new version instead of doing a full install of v2 as instructed.
V1 & V2 can co-exist togther.
I'm not using Platinum but with X3 & Cubase I have both versions installed & they're working fine.

OK, Carl... I guess I missed that.  I just upgraded all of Gregs guitars and didn't have to do that as it just used the old samples... my bad.  Thanks.  will download now.

A further complication is a hard drive appears to have gone missing (I have seven, and now 6 so the old samples must have been on the crashed/plug loose or whatever drive which no longer shows up in windows....wonder what else was on there...I'm lousy with cataloguing

I'll adjust the post accordingly tomorrow or late tonight after downloading...

Thanks, and I've cross posted the status over at kvr too but you were much quicker.... because... our forum ROCKS!

They recently upgraded their free Ample Guitar LE version to the match the new releases.  The download link for it is the same as the others on their website.  I downloaded it last night without any hassle.

Edit: To be clear, this is the LE version of AGM (the Martin D-41 guitar).
