Over at kvr there's a thread about things getting solved for LPX by CW.
In the meantime, regarding saw timbre sounds, have a look at ImageLine Sawer. I got to know this one thanks to Mesh. You may be able to get it at Musician's Friend for a low price, under $30.

If they have IL's Poizone for $30 I would go for that.  While I haven't mess with Harmor people are doing some impressive things with it. While I don't own it Synthmaster seems like a great value for $59.

There's news. A fix is coming next week, as written by Cakewalk's president to a CW forum member:

"Our marketing team will be sending out a message about this today, but I wanted to reply to you directly about the Z3TA+2 Mac issue.

We apologize that it has taken so long to get something out to you guys. We are working on a fix and it should be available to you early April (next week).

Thanks for your patience and continued support.

Best regards,

Michael Hoover

After finding out that Cakewalk's Z3ta VST is no longer supported for Mac, I'm wondering what a comparable VST would be. I've been using Z3ta and Massive almost exclusively, and Z3ta was my go-to for many sound concepts. If anyone is familiar with the presets, the hard "Teccnoe" sound (and variations thereof) is something I haven't been able to achieve with other synthesizers.

Is there anything similar out there?

Audjoo Helix is a nice waveshaping plugin similar to Z3TA.

You might want to check out Spectral by LinPlug, it has some of the same tonal qualities I found attractive in Z3ta+ 2
