This piece is very dark compared to what I've been listening to lately.  It would make a nice bit of background music in a film or video.  By itself, the mix is clear and balanced, yet the overall feel is that it is definitely sequenced.  Some of this is just keyboard technique.   This is not a major problem and doesn't take away from the ominous vibe of the song.  Very interesting;  I wonder if you are planning on doing anything else to this.

hi !
I'm pleased the mix is clear. But what do you mean by sequenced ? U think the strings sound like they're played on a keyboard u mean ?! Yes I think this too,for this track I spent more time recording on the keyboard and much less so editing (inputting the notes) So it does sound pianistic, but I'm not sure if this is what you mean :) lol
Anyway thanks for listening, its great to have your input !!

Kev, that is exactly what I mean.  I heard it in the flute more than anything, but I run into this problem myself.  It helps to have some knowledge of how each instrument is played, and randomizations of individual note velocities can do wonders.  But, mind you, this is not a major problem.  Just remember that monophonic instruments can't run notes together, and woodwinds and the like have to take a breath now and then.  If I'm telling you what you already know then my apology.  The song is good enough to get it right.

Hi Lynn,
Yes its a tough one as its necessary to have real playable parts and then make those parts sound real too !! I'm getting better with the orchestral instruments,I'm familiar with the ranges of the string section and such like.Woodwinds yep its hard to gauge sometimes how much breath they'd need in real life !!! I think the only way to really understand and improve these things is score study and seeing how composers / arrangers have used these instruments themselves.Thats what I'm tryig to do a little more of,and its an interesting way to go,theres lots of amazing music out there to learn from !

Hey, no prob, thank you for posting... You are very talented...
It's none of my business, but you would probably get a lot more listeners and feedback if you offered more feedback for others... I've listened to your music for years, but don't often comment, because you don't...
