I keep getting these "you need to upgrade to the latest Adobe Flash Player"...dialogs from various websites when I already have upgraded to the latest Adobe Flash Player. What gives??

Could it be that Adobe has rolled out another update right after you updated? They throw those Flash updates around like freaking confetti sometimes.

Or it could be that the site only works with an older version of Flash, but they only wrote code to test if you were using the version they preferred, and if not it flashed an error message designed for the expected case that you were trying to use a version older than theirs not newer. A truly useful error message would say something like you need version X of Flash to use this site.

Problem is only on my desk laptop...which is also the one computer I can no longer log in to the forum with. Maybe it's time to let it go night night.

I got that message too. There's a new version out. I went ahead and downloaded it. No problems with it

I just saw in the news last night or this morning, a story about a new bunch of Malware out there using some sort of flaw in Adobe Flash.
