Once more shopping for an acoustic tonight and after finding a guitar I thought could be interesting I went to listen to a couple of demos on YouTube.
 
 
If I were to rely strictly on what I heard, I would be tempted to believe that 99% of the people on the planet need an automated tuning device such as the one that's now standard on the 2015 Gibson line up.

Although I can't tuna fish I can tune a guitar.  BUT...I like the way the new minEtune system from Gibson allows you to store your favorite non-standard tunings and just basically click through to them when you need them.  On stage this would be fab.  No need for several guitars in different tunings just click and play.

True that. And this tuning system helps allot and I would love to have something on my guitars. But I just react when people say that guitars is in tune when there is parts of the string where the tone should be lower than the fret allow. And several places where is should be higher. And on the subject. What kind of temperation you want. Everything tempereted is out of tune, just that we are use to it doesn't make it in tune. That's just my 2 cents.

I think I have a fairly sensitive ear when it comes to tuning - which seems to only be getting better (or worst, since it's a pita) all the time. 
 
All things being relative, those folks putting video demos on YouTube sometimes aren't even close to acceptable. I'm not talking about a few cents here and there.
