So... I'm still kinda in the dark.... but.... if I understand it, Sonar is going to some type of subscription basis where you pay $200 a year and get the updates automatically......
As opposed to spending the full price of the standalone Sonar.... at $300+  ( I think that's right since I have never bought the flagship Sonar.....)  If you are the kind of person who has to have the newest version every year..... I'm thinking the $200/yr deal rocks.... if that's what you need.

I'm still on X1d Expanded (has all I need). Also of note is that the monthly payment amount is variable & based on the version you currently have a license for. Could be as high as $49.99 though.
