Fun steampunk GUI! Reminds me of the Bitmap Bros. game "The Chaos Engine"

I don't really Waves, but I think this looks like a cool and useful vocal strip!

I'm the opposite. I do Waves but don't like the gui.
If I didn't get this free with Mercury I'd probably pass.

Another freebie for Bapu....

Waves is off my list...has been for a while...

Until that "WaveShell" is gone...they are for me...
Sad, because they have some good plugins...
but many are also BIG CPU hogs...

I'm also not fond of the WUP idea...but I also realize
they do have to make money...and, since they've had
crazy sales for the past 2 years, I'm sure they are doing
well...

meh, no probs here. CPU is fine, I run tons of them in projects.
Mine have already paid for themselves in sales & have used them daily w/o any major issues since 2001.
Love the new dbx too.

WUP is the same as Sonar's membership plan.
You don't have to pay unless you want updates & you can use the plugins after the membership is up.

Yep...well aware...but they are still heavy hitters on the CPU...
I had Diamond and a ton of others...was working my way to Mercury...
but then bailed...too many problems with the WaveShell...I know they
get them fixed...but just too much hassle...and too much money with
the more you have for WUP....YMMV...

At least they have FINALLY woken up to a reasonable price...seems $99 intro
has become pretty much the norm!  I applaud them for that...

What was the problem with Waveshell?
I've had crashes in past using Sonar with Waves-VST3 but not that much anymore.

They weren't major...but it seemed that every time Sonar did an update, or Waves did an update,
WaveShell skitzed....I just got tired of it...I was also annoyed by the fact that they just can't do
"Plugins" and instead have to use a "SHELL" in which their plugins must run....that's just eating
more storage, memory, and another monkey wrench in the system...

I know the great love for Waves...I loved them too...but just got tired of it, realized I was
getting "caught in a trap" by constantly trying to reach Mercury, having hundreds of plugins
that I would probably never used.

Waves are great...but I've got ample others that do pretty much the same thing...and, at the
time, did pretty well in offing them...so it was all good.
