I try to make it a habit to revisit my thoughts after intial reaction so i listened to this again. Honestly, it just shows something I already knew from years of djing and remixing ; you can mash up just about any western hemisphere music that is in 4/4 ( or easily made to sound like 4/4) and it will likely work. If the songs happen to be in the same key and genre it is even easier. The whole concept behind dj mixes is somewhat based on this. How hard would it be to do the exact same thing with six Metal songs, or six hip-hop songs or even six zydeco songs? Nickelback gets a bad rep for churning out songs that all sound alike, but i sometimes wonder if they are any more guilty than pop in general. The same holds true for these guys. It's not like classic country is known for its breadth of topics either. Every episode of Hee Haw seemed like one episode on repeat.
