Three reasons to cheer ya up, Sycraft...
1. Strawberry now has the same scripting as Stratosphere
2. If history repeats, there'll be a sale in the fall
3. I have both and still use Strawberry far more often
If the GAS is getting to you, you can always pick up Indiginus Torch for 50 bucks to hold you over until the next OTS sale.

I only sort of have GAS, it is more that I like Strawberry but find it isn't giving me the sound I want in all situations. Now to be fair Stratosphere might not either, but I can't help but listen to the demos and say "hmmmm".

I jumped in and bought it when on sale, it's true the demo is very convincing.
This was my first OT sample set, and I've used it on a few tracks and really like it.
The lead sounds are by far the best and most realistic I have heard, and my pitch bend and modulation wheels needed no tweaking at all to get a realistic feeling when playing on a keyboard.
Only knock I have is that it's such a huge collection that it takes about 5 minutes to load up into my system, and I haven't been able to get around that no matter what I try. Once loaded, it plays flawlessly in Sonar Platinum.

I may pick up Steel Strings when it goes on sale. Kinda kicking myself on that one now but I didn't have the extra in my budget to get it. :(
