Aye Carrumba , I was all stoked after coming here and telling a few friends that I'm gonna put out some easy vids...well after getting all spiffed up w a shower and fresh duds , my acoustic guitar and fingers apparently were not willing to cooperate ..lol anyway , this is what I wound up filming tonight on my Gibby . Joy Spring http://youtu.be/LpuiSrt9-Fw I hope somebody likes it . Kenny

hi ohgrant , I do hope that the next few vids will be very easy to grab....that is important to me ...thank you . Kenny

Hi Kenny, looking forward to them.  Got the D7 idea in my head, will have to do a bit of wood shedding to be able to be confident enough with it to use it while improving to something with it.

I'm sure digging that Joy Spring. I'm not familiar with the piece so I have the added joy of hearing it for the first time. Really great to hear it on that clean LP.

It would be great to see one sometime in the future about re harmonizing a melody like you do in your versions of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" :)

LOL! That Kramer intro is classic.  Your skills are waaaaay to advanced for me.  So I'll just sit back and watch/listen.  KUDOS!

ohgrant, yeah , the D7 thing is very useful , same with picking one note and playing chord changes over it. I haven't forgot that I plan on doing a part 2 for the D 7 th chord vid. It's funny you mentioned Joe Pass . I spent the whole night studying and playing along with the Joe Pass Solo Jazz Guitar DVD from 2006 ( I just got it)...wouldn't you know , he did the same thing I did w the car alarm except he didn't talk about car alarms ..lol ..what he did was have you pick a single note on the guitar and have you play a random chord above it slowly to hear the sound , then he had you play the corresponding scale that went with it..oh yeah I'll be back w new vids and I'm gonna post them here on this thread ....Kenny
