Hey All, With inspiration fueled by non-profit Space Foundation education endeavors, this volunteer song project was designed to help school groups and visitors get in the scientific mood before a 3D education presentation at the new visitors center.

Random thought as I listen to all sorts of music tonight: Should I compress and boost the hell out of this thing, or is that overkill?

Hey Chris, I think this sounds great and love the atmosphere.  I would also probably like the 3-d Science presentation, even though I'm not a student.

I wouldnt compress or boost it anymore than it is.  No sense comparing this type of music to a dance or rock mix, if that's what you were doing.

Chris, this is fine as is.  You've created a melodic and atmospheric piece of music that plays well.  It goes with your avatar perfectly!

Mike, Lynn,
Thanks for the feedback! I did end up making a few changes, adding some noticeable drop-offs in the percussion/instrumentation, and some less noticeable revisions to the instrumentation (a song is never really finished, is it?). Also thanks for the advise on compression and such. I did find myself amongst a lot of maxed dance music as a bad comparison.

Mike,
The presentation is AWESOME! The education team really makes it what it is and makes the audience drool. The music shows a bit before the presentation while people are getting seated (promotes less distractions). Here's a new video that gives an idea of what the animation looks like with the music (the animation was the project that spurred this music endeavor).: http://www.spacefoundatio...tion-branded-animation

Lynn,
Thanks for the compliment on the avatar art.

Best regards,

Chris
