My main hobby is manufacturing customer serving units for shops.

It's somewhat counter-productive though.

Do you do kitchen remodels too?

Shooting, at local and national level.  I'm in the county team.
Ham radio, though not as much as I used to.
Bike club member,  I'm entertainment officer which basically means I run sound at our events and book the acts.
I used to play video games when I was younger but I can't keep up with them now.  Unless it's Kerbal Space Program, I'm addicted to that..

Being such a good shot, I'm surprised your don't like to play FPS games (yes, I know it's not the same......but, for the virtual world......there's a lot of sniper games too).

I'm thinking of getting that Kerbal Space Program and introducing it to my 8 yr old girl. Is it suitable for young children? not too complex?? Looks like a nice math/physics/building/problem solving type of game, and I like to encourage them in educational games.

In the summer we enjoy camping. Just recently got my ham radio license and that is starting to look real interesting!

Pretty much a ditto..... Just got my Ham license too (Sept), picked up a few radios, joined with a local club, starting to play with the many options available....  this could easily be a "money pit" hobby..... but I shall try to maintain some sense of sanity with it.  I know a few guys locally who have tens of thousands of dollars in radios and antennas.... crazy.

Summertime.... camping....and this year, looks like we may be doing more camping since my wife wanted to buy (and so we did) 2 kayaks. So that's in the coming summer. We'll be heading to the lakes rivers and streams around here on weekends now I'm sure.

I like to shoot and hunt...and consider that a hobby..... one that yielded ZERO results this past deer season. Only saw one....and it wasn't where I could get a clean shot..... so I let it walk.... shooting.... well that's a different story.... I get a chance to go to the sporting clays facility from time to time and have a "Winter-seed" shoot scheduled in the first part of Feb in the mountains.... it's an Appleseed Project event... sun, rain, or snow.... and it promises to be at the very least..... seriously cold.  But it's shooting, so I'll have a blast (pun in ten did) doing it.

I'm a tech geek and proud of it. My greatest moments in life is when I get new computer parts and other stuff. I am in no way anything rich, but I use almost all I got on this. I am planning on buying and building a 2011-3 PC soon. I just need to build up funds to do it. And yeah. I'm a Microsoft fan boy. He he.

There is nothing "unsuitable" in that it uses cartoonish graphics, not photoreal, and you can plug and play rockets very easily that may or may not go BOOM on the Launchpad.

But you have to bare in mind it is still a space program simulation.  It has a sandbox mode where you can do anything you like with any/all the available components, but the focus of the intended game play is through progression of a space program,  not just flying rockets.

If you want to learn about orbital mechanics and how to rendezvous and dock vehicles in orbit it is great. But that might be a bit much for an 8yo.  though it's cheap enough, so it's worth it just for the fun factor.
