Nice playing, guys, great job.  This is close to what I imagined in my head when I first heard it, but was unable to produce with the tracks and format (everybody's in!) that was the project's parameters.

I will say this: the song is cool, the instrumentation is cool, but the mix left me wanting a bit: there does not seem to be a main musical element to key in on, and the parts are too distinct to blend together in a nice mélange that would underpin the fine vocals of the notoriously banned Robbie. ;)

Though the mexican flavor of the intro just brought one thing to mind: where are the castanets?!?

James, that is what was different than what I was going to do before you were brought in. ( I am very glad that
you agreed to give it go and hope that if it is tried again that you would produce it).
I was going to use only ONE part submitted for each instrument that I felt was closest to the feel.

I feel that is my fault that it failed. I had never tried an "experiment" such as this and really didn't have the details worked out.
I do believe there is a lot going for this type of project. Very interesting and major fun. I hope maybe it can be tried
again in a way that is not so....hard for the producer. ADDITION- Don't read anything into this...I mean exactly what I
said. I was very glad James took on the role...I could not have handled it. Way over my head to produce a project
like it may have been. I thought bringing him onboard for that AND his ideas was a perfect move.

But not all was lost....far from it.

Well, I'm impressed.  Excellent job by everyone.  Very catchy tune.  And the production is exceptional.

Bapu called me and demanded that I listen to this song.

So I listened to it.

It's a song. I've heard songs before and I know what they sound like so I wasn't really too surprised.

This one too sounded like a song.

All songs sound pretty much like a song in my honest opinion.

I've heard hundreds of thousands of them - plus this one

Yes Ed was correct when we called me. He did indeed post another song in the song forum. I know. Because I listened to it. It sounded like a song to me. In conclusion, I agree with Ed that it's true about his post of the new song.

Hi, Ed,

Wow, I think this is a spectacular collab with fully textured, fresh sounding modern production!

The songwriting, musicianship, vocals and instrumentation are truly superb, and every element of the finely woven mix has a clean, spacious feel and sounds absolutely pro quality.  I think this really sounds radio-ready and has a very cool, hybrid genre all it's own.  I'm on my third listen.

Dynamite work by all eight of you, keep 'em coming, boys!

Another nice collab and a sweet song.  Ya'll did excellent.....Especially love the harp, violin and Robby's vocals.  Drums sound waaaaay too compressed.

All in all a fine job.

Such a great song.  Great melody and hooky chorus.  Nice retro production and sound.  Robby's vocals was a perfect fit for this song.  I don't know about the crunchy guitars serving as background around 2:30.  It does not seem to fit with the style of the song.

@Bub - The piano choice was concious. I was not after an "up front" piano. See detailed explanation below.
@LpMike75 - Thanks for stopping by
@bandontherun19 - Thank you for gracing us with your stellar abilities
@Janet - Thanks for listening
@amateur - with the internet, we're really just a click away. Thanks for listening
@james & spacey - you two should get a room and duke it out?
@MetalTek - Thanks for the word of encouragement
@Mooch - maybe
@Bob Oister - radio ready? WOW! That's a compliment for the permanent record book. Thanks.
@No How - Thanks for the listen and the compliments. Can we argree to disagree on the drums?
@vechung - Thanks for the kudo's. I tried that middle section without that crunchy guitar and felt it was too empty.

I think the next project is to write a song, have a good singer record it, and then just sendout the vocals and see what people come up with.
