Well, apparently, the rumours were true. Having gone through the eMagic acquisition back in the days, I totally understand what this represents for PC users. I hope that they keep it cross-platform for you guys, but I wouldn't hold my breath.  :/

That being said, July 7th being my birthday, having some of that technology incorporated in my DAW of choice would make for a heck of a nice present. :P

I can't think of a single example of where a big company buying a small company has ultimately been good for consumers. Can you?

I know apple buying Camel ain't good for this consumer - even if they concentrate on making it an ipad app.

Google acquired Android. :>
Sorry, had to. :P
Not all acquisitions have been bad, just most of them. Especially by companies like Apple.

I'm hoping this won't effect us in the using of Camel stuff for the long run.......I currently don't have any issues whatsoever with Camel's products, and I'm a little concerned about updates for us PC users after the takeover.

True....true....

What I'm worried about is when Apple says: "we've updated Alchemy with some new features/sounds for all platforms and is going to free of charge" (wishful thinking).....then after installation, we find out the many compatible issues or it's just simply broken.

Never fix something that aint broke?
