I've seen some nice progress on AmpliTube and T-RackS so as long as they keep the train a-rollin' and the quality on par with the latest T-RackS gear, it should definitely be a great year for gear from IK.

Here's to hoping that AT4 and TR5 are in the pipeline...

Pete is indeed a SUPERB company Rep!  To me, he was the saving grace
through the "hoopla"...

Would love it if T-RackS gets more of a Slate Digital VMR look. Those fine IK plugs already sound and look great, so a newly minted rack format would be very welcome.

I appreciate Larry's OP and Peter's comments throughout. I am very happy with all my IK stuff and will happily use up the rest of my credits in AmpliTube CS, since I have everything in T-Racks after the last group buy. I bought the Total Studio Bundle 3, a few years ago when I was going to upgrade to AmpliTube 3 and it was only $50 more the to get the whole TSB3.
Not long after that I upgraded T-Racks to Grand and bought up credits during a sale, knowing I would be more than pleased with whatever I added. I still am and expect to continue to be so!
Thanks.
Michael

Finally decided to stay away from AmpliTube as I'm a keys man, and I do have all T-Racks already thanks to the Group Buy. So guess I'll hang onto my remaining 90 credits and hope for the best.

Certainly the AmpliTube stuff is not just for guitars!

I have about 45 credits and have no idea what to do with them. I've been meaning to demo some amps and pedals for a while, maybe I'll do that tonight.

I'd really like to see AT4 "out-amp" S-Gear...that's now the benchmark
in amp sims IMO.  I haven't used anything that sounds as good.  Granted
it's not as extensive as RV4 or GR5 or AT4, but it sounds SUPERB - no other
word to describe.

That's a TALL order...but one can hope!

Bias Desktop, if you like to "tweak" for Rock and Metal is also superb,
but doesn't nearly match S-Gear overall.  (The pretty pictures are
Tre-Kewl also  (Baps))

Waves better poop or get off the pot with GTR3...that program is
getting VERY long in tooth...it can still get usable sounds, but it
takes some doing.

AmpLion Pro can be decent, Kuassa can be decent, and the freebies
are quite surprising given the right place and care.

Recabinet 4 with Thermionik also has done a decent job, but limited in scope.

I've never had the pleasure of using the Softube Amps or BX_Rockrack,
so can't comment much about those.

Amp Sims are getting quite numerous...but, IMO, S-Gear reigns supreme.

I use ReValver 4 quite a bit, and have been "re-exploring" all my Amplitube gear,
since I just picked up a bunch of new amps and cabs...
(I almost have everything AT- I do have everything TR)
...but sound wise, they don't have the "feel" or the "sound" that S-Gear has...
and the effects in S-Gear are outstanding...and I want to feel it soon!
(before the 28th!!!  - cuz I never pay full price LOL)

Sure, but I think I'll wait for the new T-RackS stuff and use my 90 gear credits for that.
Got some 140 JamPoints left too.
Thing is that, as a 90% keys man and 10% acoustic guitarist, T-RackS stuff seems more interesting for me ...
On the other hand, I do have some AmpliTube for iPad stuff. Sadly my credits cannot be used in the iPad store.

After watching Jim Alfredson's review of the Ventilator 2,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxF_MkTWQYE

I started thinking I'll have to try some AT3 stuff on my Kurz organs! The overdrive stuff is so cool on the Ventilator that imitating that is a new project for me, especially since I just got the PSP L'otary.
A pal posted an old "Big Pink" Band tune on FB that had this funky overdriven Wurly, the other day and I got the bug to try that out next track with a Wurlitzer on it. I used to own an A200 and a 140(a?), so it'll be fun to recreate that flavor, too. I use the AAS Lounge Lizard for EP's.

Sounds quite nice, Michael, and I love the dedicated stop button.
Me too, I use (and love) Lounge Lizard. Which AT3 plug would you use to imitate the Ventilator?
Rick already suggested the 3 rotary cabs (147-1 with the original woofer and 147-2 with a modern woofer). There's also a Vibratone 1x10” Rotary based on the Fender model.

Guys, would it be a good idea to simply purchase the 15-plug Rack Pack bundle with my 90 credits, even though I'm a keys player? (There's a rotary in there too )
Then again, you can buy the full Amplitude 3 bundle with 160 plugins including the Rack Pack for $99 at Musician's Friend, so using my credits for a measly 15-plug Rack Pack doesn't look good, even if the alternative is hoarding them until further notice.

And finally, I guess we still cannot purchase plugs with a mix of JamPoints (30%) and Gear Credits (instead of having to buy credits with 30% JPs and 70% hard-earned cash) so those 140 Jampoints keep on collecting dust ...
