BTW I mentioned the above plugin in a Waves Facebook group yesterday. Seems I'm banned from the group now :-D

If you buy it Metz, can you feed back. Especially regards CPU overhead. Is it as bad as reported?

The dbx 160 and the dbx 165 are two very different compressors.
The dbx 160 is a very fast compressor while the dbx 165 is an over-easy compressor.
The Waves and NI ones are modeled after the 160 while the Sknote one is modeled after the 165.

Ah, I had completely missed that. I thought it was the same compressor. Sorry.

Only had a brief muck around with it, snare, kick and vocals. very nice, never noticed any high CPU usage, not that I really check, but it certainly doesn't seem high. Super easy to get what you/I want. Grab the demo and check it out, 'tis the only way :).

Also just grabbed the Kramer Pie comp from the one day sale the other day, $29, just whacked it on a vocal, super sweet, and the L3-16 Multimaximizer, just through the L316 on the master bus, will never be able to listen to that tune again without it. Can't wait for the weekend to have more of a play.

Yeah I gave it a whirl on the kick in one song, sounded good, but for that song I preferred the dbx 160, but just messing with them, check them out more thoroughly this week end :)
