I bought, but never used until now The EZ Keys Essential Keys-Hope that name is right. It was on sale a while back. Comes with Grand, Upright and 2 different EP's . Lots of nice presets.

I have slowly but surely been replacing the resource hog True Pianos CW edition with the toontrack stuff.
Just thought I'd pass it on

So much nicer and easier to mix also. Nope, I'm retired . work for myself playing out now and then, otherwise in my home studio writing and recording :-)

I'm loving EZkeys too. I got it with the Dec. sales also.

I use EZKeys to compose my MIDI, but after that
I use other pianos that I have that sound better.
To me, EZKeys pianos are marginal at best, but
will get the job done...YMMV

well, if I didn't like them I wouldn't use them. I dm't agree with you marginal remark, but, ymmv.

I only use it to sequence a parts. Once I convert to audio I can get what I need easily.

Last year, I worked with an artist and EZkeys is all over his CD.  He didn't ask, I didn't tell and he liked the keyboard parts that I (snicker) added.  That's not to say that I didn't do considerable tweaking to the piano parts.

I like EZkeys because it sounds like the keyboards that this bassist and guitarist can relate to.  I don't know all the nuances that a piano may have but I'm not working with purists doing classical or solo piano.  I'm doing comping and that sort of rhythm piano type of performances and EZkeys does a good job of that.

I'm not saying they aren't "acceptable"...I'm saying that I....I....I
have much better sounding piano's...and, because of that,
EZkeys is "marginal"....it will do the job...but there are far better
options if you have them....

They sound good and in a mix they are going to be very useful. That said I would probably use something else from my collection in preference. SampleTekk for grands and uprights and Scarbee for electrics. But that colection has cost me $$$. I do think True Pianos Atlantis is excelent though.

I know you don't want to hear this Dave but we're in the same boat.

I realize there are much better piano synths\samples. There is always much better of pretty much anything.
What works for me is what matters to me.  After bouncing and then eqs, compressors, reverb, etc I end up with a piano (I am a guitar player) that sounds fine in my originals.

My point was and still is, they are much more useful "to me" than true pianos CW edition ever was.
That's all folks................................................

I might also, except I don't have anything else-except CW Truepainos and Kontakt 5 pianos. Ez keys wins that little battle for me.

I did just get the Vintage Organs (Native Instruments). I like those very much.
Probably "marginal" though :-)
