No one cares to defend TruePianos? Is the one 4Front sells direct identical to the CW version?

I have the full package (True Pianos). It was my first full Piano module I bought waaaay before CW offered a stripped down version. Sometimes they fit in the mix nicely and other times not so much.

I have about 30 different pianos now, but lately the one size fits all for me is The Giant by NI.

That is one hella good Pie Annie.

Cheers Baps, just bought TruePianos from 4Front, but still have to compare. Nice new entries in the Fleer Piano Hall of Shame ('cause I can't play right) are ProductionVoices Grand Gold One and Estate Grand, CineSamples Piano in Blue, Sampletekk White Grand and Vertikal, Sonivox EightyEight2, the UVI grand pianos, XLN Addictive Keys Grand, Pianoteq5 and the new NI pianos in K10. As for electrics: AIR Velvet, AAS Lounge Lizard, GospelMusicians Neo-Soul, NI Scarbee, Pianoteq5 R1&W2, XLN Addictive Keys electric grand, SonicCouture EP73 and Broken Wurli. And of course EZkeys due to the BF sale. I'm crazy about pianos and really itchin' to start choppin' but I'm wondering if I'm still missing out on some of the great sounds. Synthogy Ivory? Garritan CFX? What else?

P.s.: really crazy about keys indeed. Just think of the fact that you can play the exact piano Glenn Gould used for his first Goldberg registration and Miles Davis for his Blue masterpiece (CineSamples Piano in Blue).

Fleer, did you get the 30% off?  Cakewalk users get 30% off the upgrade...

I really like TruePianos . I bought the full version too with the Cakewalk discount.  They're easy to sit in a mix.

I did just get the Vintage Organs (Native Instruments). I like those very much.
Probably "marginal" though :-)

Vintage Organs sounds pretty good straight out of the box, for may purposes you could get away with just using the presets. I like the way you have Hammond, Vox and Farifisa organs in the package. I have most of the NKIs edited now to put the upper manual, lower manual and pedels on different channels rather then the keyboard split you get as default. I have a couple of 61 note keyboards hooked up and can use the sliders on my Cakewalk A800 to control the drawbars on one of the manuals. Unfortunatly the other keyboard is old and does not have any sliders.

While the presets sound pretty good I usually use a DI sound and put it through Melda's Vintage Rotary or XILS Labs LX122 depending on the sound I am after as they are better than NI's rotary in my opinion. Vintage Rotary is particularly good for distorted sounds.

I'm having fun with them. Trying to learn all about the drawbar stuff. Interesting  for an old guitar player.

Thanks
