Very nice, and what a cool experience!

It really was a great day. The museum has so many cool things. Just a few off the top off my head.

They have the Martin acoustic that was Leo Fenders first attempt at making an electric guitar in 1942. As you can see, it was a pretty primitive attempt.

Here is a pic of Kurt Cobains Martin D18. It's the one he used on the Nevermind tour, and also played it on the MTV unplugged episode.

They have over 170 instruments in the museum. All of them with a cool story. I took the lady who hooked me up with my guitar to lunch and she told me some pretty neat stuff. She's the international tone wood buyer for the company. She said with the restrictions on exotic woods such as Brazilian Rosewood, everyone in the business is very cautious. She said a collector has a rare Martin he would like to sell to the museum, but due to it having both   Brazilian Rosewood and Ivory components, they are waiting to hear back from the corporate lawyers to see if they can even legally buy it.

Very nice guitar!

And the factory tour is indeed a nice experience and you can do the museum while you wait for the guide for the next tour to start.
