I mix a lot of concerts and almost always to -14 EBU average for the song.
For any given concert, I set the volume and almost never need to touch it.
This holiday, I made a random mix of tunes from the year to hand out to my ppl and the volume required for all the tunes (all mixed at -14) varies hugely based on the target playback volume for the gig.
It's really interesting to me. I would have thought that different bands could all be listened to at the same volume if they all have the same average on the EBU meter, but really, not at all, and this surprised me.
