I just looked around further on YouTube and found one video where it looks as if the outline of the Calibrate control is NOT inside the MIDI control groupings.  So maybe the instructions are in error to some extent.  Maybe if I get brave enough I'll install it, but I tend to avoid installing anything further on this old system out of fear something might crash it, at least until I'm very confident the plug will actually serve the purpose.

Thanks for the feedback guys, if you think of anything further please let me know....

Well, no such luck, Gsnap won't even load.  I have no idea why but I suspect the VST format is too new for my old DAW.   Argh...

Not sure if you've got the old Cakewalk Pitch Shifter plugin, but have a look - it's old but I still use it occasionally and for what I need, it works. You just adjust the slider to correct the pitch where you need it.

Yeah, i have that old Cakewalk Pitch Shifter but that applies a fixed shift to the entire track without regard for how the content is actually tuned.

Here's a plugin that might help: Kerovee https://www.kvraudio.com/product/kerovee-by-g200kg

I see it has a pitch calibration knob which might do what you want.

Thanks.   I actually found that VST and tried it earlier but had the same result as Gsnap - it won't load.   Not sure what's going on, maybe those VST's are not compatible with S6 and/or W2K/XP OS.   ??

being that your version is older, it is very likely it only loads 32 bit plugins.  make sure the version of gsnap you are using is the 32 bit and not the 64 bit one.

Guys, thanks again for your patience and help.

Well, for now guess I'll just have to use V-Vocal (which I had been re-learning the last few days).  However I ran into something I still don't understand that is causing occasional warbles in a bass track simply as a result of creating the V-Vocal track - even before any explicit editing/processing is done.  Here is the post on that issue, if you have any thoughts please let me know....
