Actually, listening to forum members songs on my iphone is a great idea.  I don't know why I had n't thought of that until now.  I guess I just was determined to listen with my studio monitors.

I just went to Marcus Curtis's Reverbnation site and his Sound Click site and played them on my iPhone 5.  I did n't seem to have any issues loading them up and playing them.  Then I went over to Robbies, Doggie Style and tried his ReverbNation site and that worked fine as well.

My only issue with Sound Cloud so far has been the "look" of the site.  It just did not look like a professional music page too me.  I think Sound Click looks kind of old as well.  I guess I am interested in something that just looks more like a personal web page with out having to start my own web page.  I have not really noticed a difference in sound quality on any of the sites.  Guess I will have to pay more attention to Sound Cloud to see if it really does sound better.

Incidentally, I really like the new iPhone 5 head phones over the old style.  Much improved bass and mids in my opinion.

Like Daryl, JamesG, and a few others here, I pay extra for the premium version of SoundClick, so I can upload higher resolution MP3s(320kbps), no adds, and more capacity... It's sometimes buggy, but then, they all are...

I also use SoundCloud, but some tracks just don't sound right to me...
Even when I upload the original wave, I sometimes (not always)hear wow/flutter/warble and other artifacts after soundcloud does its thing...

I have stuff on ReverbNation, YouTube, and a few others that I never go to anymore... I'm starting to lose interest in all of 'em...

Soundcloud all the way but only with 24 bit files. Like Frank, I heard all sorts of crap with standard 16 bit files.
Thankfully, with Soundcloud, the size of the file is unimportant. Your useage is measured by time - you get 120 minutes of song time on the free version.
It's also easy to share on social media sites

Interesting... What about 32, or 64 bit files?

Hi Mike,

Just a quick note to let you know that all the music on my sound click and Reverb Nation sites were made using Sonar 5. The music was recorded shortly after that version was released. This excludes the music videos on Reverbnation. They were made using Sonar 8.5

The only exception to this Is the AGL theme song and video which was made using X1. Thanks for taking the time to check out my music. I will check out your tunes as well my friend!

Might as well use them all.  I have a page on:

SoundClick
SoundCloud
MySpace
IndabaMusic
IndieMusicWorks
SYM

I haven't checked out ReverbNation yet but maybe I should.

I used to have a band page on FaceBook, but the music widget app stopped functioning and they stopped supporting it.

...I'm just about the only person in our whole organization that doesn't own a smartphone and doesn't want one.  People question a lot why I'm not head-over-heels in love with all thing techy... But I'm not.
Me too.  While I'm a fan of technology, I rarely join in when the whole world gets excited about the latest new thing, and I'm happy to stay a bit retro (although my job doesn't always allow this).  I have resisted updating my mobile phone, which doesn't have any other functionality aside from being a phone.

Another good thing with Sound Cloud and iPhones,

If we are out somewhere and decide to try and sell a gig and do not have a CD with us, I pull it up on my cell so the potential customer can hear what they need to.  ( Excellent selling point )  Like always having a DEMO on hand when ya need it
