Soundcloud ALL the time.  And the best thing, and no one has mentioned it, is the feed.

I follow people from here and elsewhere, their new tracks hit my feed, and when I get time to listen, all I have to do is grab my headphones and start commenting in-line with the track.  The feed plays one song after another- no search or jumping back and forth to a forum. It's all right.there.  LOVE IT and it seems to always work.

I was pondering this question myself as I have upload to only ReverbNation, but rarely use that site now.

And a little "rant" (well, I wouldn't call it that, but I do have a question and possibly a suggestion (to the Bakers) whether or not this'll work, but here it goes.

I haven't seen it here, but it'd be nice if you could upload files on the forum itself. (I do realize bandwith and filesize would be the deciding factors), but the MCS forum allows this.

Don't get me wrong and maybe it's a self-conscience/confidence issue, but assuming that files upload can't be taken down, that's alot of clutter to have 20 versions of the same file with subtle differences (and I know alot about this with the tracks I'm doing stored on my External HDD - I keep everything or at least most of it.)

For me, that's something I would probably do and think I have done is "redirect" folks who want to hear my tracks to the (MCS) Forum/Thread/Reply(ies) that have the files uploaded and I do believe there is a limit, but again only I have only a few members and not the entire internet community to think about.

Whether or not this eventually happens, makes no difference to me, but I thoght I'd make the suggestion.

Having said this, I may sign up for Click, Cloud or both. I don't know.

BTW - No offence intended Scotty - but is it just me that finds the whole "sent from my i-pad/ phone " sig a bit.....well, sad ? Does anyone really care what device was used ?

1. Yep, seems like its just you.
2. Apple seems to care. That's why they have that default sig.

BTW,

I got REVERBNATION to play on my iPad. It takes a while to load and the sound quality might be a bit less.

Good stuff, Marcus Curtis!!!

:-) And with AT&T? You can use data apps, and make phone calls at the same time ;-)

I've learned ti hate computers and I'm just about the only person in our whole organization that doesn't own a smartphone and doesn't want one.

Daryl, you're not alone. My love/hate relationship tipped toward hatred maybe 10 or 15 years ago, and I don't have nor need a "smart" phone. Like you I've lived and breathed computers and software for 40+ years and I don't see them as saviors nor companions. If they didn't let me make music on the cheap I'd have no room for them in my life - except, of course, to the extent that I still need a day job.

Slightly less off-topic: I'd like to start a movement to make all songs posted here downloadable. At least, the ones for which the posters own copyright. I don't want to hear all this great music via SoundCloud or SoundClick or Reverbnation, because they all stream at 128kb/s. If you truly want to share your creations with the world and spread some happiness, upload them to SoundCloud at 256kb/s or 320kb/s and make then freely downloadable. Let us hear them in high fidelity. Let us listen to them while we go for a walk or exercise at the gym or kill time in airport departure lounges.

I'm sure everyone who's songs you post on? Will take this under careful consideration...

Let's see, there's Ummmm, and well who could forget? Ummm...  I'm sure the list is long, and it's only my memory which is short?

Just posting to say I'm on Cloud now (nothing is uploaded).

@ Bit, should they really be that "pristine"? (Don't know if that's the right word)
