Hi folks, Below is a link to a new demo for a track called "Just like you knew it then". It has a bit of a stones, exile in main street vibe...at least to my ears anyway. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11991647 Enjoy, Lee

Interesting track.  I got a folkie coffee house vibe.  Thanks.

I love this, Warren.  It's rawness is elegant and, indeed, evocative of the Stones.  You'e proving to be quite prolific.  Encore!

Mister Moran, I recall you from your comments on my VH cover w/Mr. Markno999, we're about to put out another :-)

Your style is interesting, it's loose and relaxed. That strumming guitar feels a tad out of tune, and a bit too far up front for me, I would tune it and mix it back a bit. And I would make it an acoustic (if it's an acoustic, I apologize, I mean no disrespect. It doesn't sound like your classic acoustic recording)

This would benefit greatly from some production and mixing. Again,

1. Lose that out of tune strummed guitar and replace it with a properly tuned guitar, a bit farther back in the mix.

2. Add some keys.

3. Bring the drums up a bit. And treat them, EQ, compression.

Your shtick is obviously writing? And that Dylan vocal. But you need a better presentation to accompany it. Again, no disrespect, just my opinion. Opinions are like noses? Everyone has one and mine smells. (But that strummed guitar? Really... It's not good.) Most people will simply tell you "good job?" Some people will offer advice, some of that advise will be good? You have to pick and choose...

I get a bit of a Stones meets the Velvet Underground vibe.  Nice one!
