No I got my gear out. A couple of guitars got wet, unsure to the extent of any damage.

Jim, really sorry to hear this.

I took a ride through my old hometown, Moonachie, this afternoon. They got flooded out also. Heart-wrenching to see block upon block lined at the curb with washers, dryers, water heaters, refrigerators, and furniture.

Be strong. There will be better days.

The only positive I can think James, is that you are going to rock this world when you come back....

That blows..  I've been in fear of a flooded home or car all my life even though I've never lived where I could be flooded.  The parts of Michigan I've lived in are way above the flood plane and we live on ancient sand dunes and lake bottom and drainage is very good.  No tornadoes along the Great Lakes shorelines, no hurricanes, vocanoes, or earthquakes.  Boring and I love it.

Good luck man, that is just a tough blow... keep the faith.

What a relief!  Hopefully the guitars aren't damaged.  It sounds like you saved all your source recording data which is kindof priceless.  Maybe you already backup to the cloud, or offsite so that wouldn't have been an issue anyway.

a couple of guitars getting wet for me? Would be a tragedy in and of itself... Like Frank? Darrel, and some others? I have some A** kicking guitars.

What is important is that there was no human/physical loss. We all celebrate that! The Shiz? Can all be replaced? It will take some time (years) before things are restored to normal.

My words are of no help.  I just want you to know that I am thinking of you and pray for some relief for you and family.
