I've emailed customer support for XLN, but figured I'd post here too - I'm having a bit of trouble setting up AD2 after upgrading.

1.  I read on their website that current AD1 content would be upgraded.  I bought a MidiPak, but I don't know how to migrate it.
2.  We're supposed to get 3 ADpaks - how do we do that?  When I go to their website and add it to my cart, it tries to charge me.  When I click from the instrument - it brings me to the website.
3.  Can we migrate the drums that were bundled in AD1 over to AD2?  I was kind of bummed when I opened it up to see what it could do and all I could find was an incomplete demo of Fairfax.

I got the word document that said I'd need my registration number from the command center - never needed it, did I miss a step?

If you went through this process, let me know how you did it - I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

I had same problem as well at first. Make sure u download the online installer. After u do that open the application which it should automatically. Then u select register a product. Put in Ur AD2 serial number (case sensitive) then it'll register and further down it'll show adpaks u can select. U can PM me bout it if u have trouble. I'm not at my computer right now so I might have forgotten about a click somewhere in there. U don't do it from the website. It's all within the xln online installer.

Thanks.  I think it was the Case-sensitive part.  I just tried it from the web page and it did something different.  When I get back to my studio computer, I'll go into the installer - I'm sure that's what the problem was.  Thanks!

No problem. I think when I successfully registered it, it automatically took me to the page to select my adpaks.

Ok, so I figured out how to get my ADpaks but what about migrating my old stuff?  Like all the preset drum kits from AD1?  And the Funk'd Up Midipak that bought for AD1?

Any idea how to bring those over?

Sry no help there. I've always dealt with mostly vocal.mixing and made Instrumentals in other programs then brought them over to Sonar for mixing. I'm still fairly new at learning the instrument game in sonar.I'd assume it should transfer over. Will platinum read your AD1? U can prolly just run AD1 for the kits u want and use AD2. For its kits seperarely. I haven't used ad1

Yes, Platinum is recognizing both AD1 and AD2.  I just want to be able to use my kits from AD1 in AD2 because there are more features.  At the very least, transfer the beats...  I can do some work arounds, but it's a bummer when things don't work right...

It says on their website that it's supposed to do it, but I can't seem to figure it out...  We'll see if their email support will help.

Yea I understand where your coming from. Come back with whatever you find out. I'd like to know how it gets solved.

AD1 won't migrate to AD2 unless you buy the upgrade. Things you bought and use in AD1 will be available in AD1 but not in AD2. The packs you choose from the Sonar will be AD2. It's a strange way of doing things but that's the deal. Buying the upgrade converts all AD1 stuff to AD2 but you still have it in AD1 also. Even the midi doesn't show up in the other one.

Thanks for clearing that up
