I too looked at this one - soon as funds become available, I will be picking this up.  VERY nice sound, with lots of articulations.

Damn, I just shot my wad on orchestral sample libraries. But I'm pretty sure Greg will give us another shot at a discounted price during the coming year.

He did that for his [frickin' amazing] Rickenbacker bass. I couldn't afford that one either when it came out, even though I'd been waiting for it. I missed the introductory price but was able to pick it up a few months later on sale.

Here's hoping the Strat can be my next birthday present. That's in October, Greg. Please make a note.

Ok, I don't know about anyone else, but it's a no-brainer for me to say that Bitflippers' knowledge, expertise, and advice on these forums has been nothing short of phenomenal and invaluable over the years, and it wouldn't be the same here without him - and neither would some of us.

So I vote that 28 of us donate $5 [USD] so that Bit can get a copy of this new EEG Stratosphere library from Greg - kinda like a reverse or somewhat sideways group buy.

That way he won't have to wait until October, which is way too long.

So I'll start:

I, *jimusic* hereby commit to donating $5 to Bitflipper for this purchase.

Upon seeing 27 others do the same, I will then send the $5 to Bit via Paypal [if he has it - or by some other method].

So I'm donation #1.

Please post what donation # you are as above so that it will be easy to see when we get to #28 = $140.
Once that is achieved, let's bombard Bit with $5 - 28 times.

It should be easy enough to get 27 more people by Jan. 31, 2015.

Cheers Bit!

Count me in as #2. I just found $5 worth of change in the couches. Let me know when and where to send it.

Right on!
The ball's starting to roll!
Comin' at ya' there Bit.

Let's wait until we have all 28.
I'm thinking it may only take a few days, or maybe a week or so.
Then we can reorganize and all send to him then.
I'll be checking this a few times a day, and will post once we have met our goal.

Thanks!

Jim

I forgot to mention this, but MIDI files and the presets they use for ALL the audio demos are included in the "Demo Songs" subfolder.

Thanks for the update Greg! With all the Holiday activities I have not had a chance to explore much yet...

Hi Greg, any indication of the schedule for rolling out the new engine on your other guitar libraries. The intuitive way of setting up velocity switching of articulations in the solo modes is sublime. I would love to use that strum engine on Steel Strings.

Just checking the Orange Tree forum on KVR - there will be an update for Stratosphere soon that will change some menues for sliders so that can be automated.

It looks like you will be able to automate pickup selection, pick style and pick position among others. That will be a significant update!

Just picked this up the other day. It is phenomenal, don't hesitate, get it. You won't be disappointed.

The EEG Strawberry update is nearly complete, so it will most likely get released before the EAG Steel Strings update. Right now I'm working on all the factory tone presets for it, and other than that it's just a matter of tweaking the manual and finishing a few other things before it's complete. I'm hoping I'll have it done 2-3 weeks from now.

The new version of EAG Steel Strings is playable right now, but all the factory strum patterns need to be updated to compensate for the difference in available articulations and effects. New factory tone presets need to be created for it as well. ETA, maybe another 2 weeks after EEG Strawberry update is done.
