cclarry, if your head was nodding in agreement while reading that patchwork quilt of shopworn anticapitalist slogans then you're as dumb as he is. I can't understand why the pair of you haven't been banned. The pair of you frequently abuse Cakewalk's forum as a soapbox for your political rants. And of course if I was to pick apart any of these misinformed screeds, which sound like the kind of thing a 16 year old would write in the excitement of their freshly blossoming political awareness, I would be guilty of abusing Cakewalk's terms and conditions as well.

Guitarpima - if you actually want to understand why software companies are going to subscription models read my post here:

PS: It has ZERO to do with thievery.

Much as I'd like to weigh in on the merits and dangers of capitalism, this is the Software forum.

Continue your arguments down in the Coffee House if you want, but we run a clean house here, free of such rowdiness. Call me a fascist if you like, but I will call over the bouncer if I have to.

If the companies would actually charge a FAIR price in the first place, instead of giving the illusion of "value"
by making the prices artificially HIGH so they can charge a REAL price when it IS on sale...

then none of this would even be necessary....but capitalism doesn't work that way...it works the
opposite, and therefore is, in essence, the problem.

Do you want the REAL price all the time?

Then that takes us right back to your premise that it's the "bad" and the "snowball effect" happens quicker.

Since I don't to flame the argument I''l just say....

For me here's the bottom line with "saturation". I've got more than I need and I don't spend like I used to (lesser funds available is also a MAJOR factor). And so even sales don't spark me unless there is something unique to be had for me.

Isn't politics off limits in the coffee house too?
