Mod Bod
Just waiting for VCC2 to come out. I have VCC and I want to set up some templates but VCC2 won't be compatible since it uses the VMR.
I was debating whether I should wait for VCC2 to come out before starting my latest mix, but I ended up just using my current VCC. It still works and sounds great. The new version will only work in the VMR, but your current mixes that are using VCC will remain unchanged since it will be a new install and the old VCC will stay put. Anyway, I love VCC. Put it on every track, every bus, and the master (or in my case, the pre-master since I have all of buses routed to it first), group them all together, turn up the input and drive just a bit (maybe 2dB or so) and you'll hear your tracks magically come to life. Then do the rest of your mixing (EQ, compression) with VCC doing its magic and your whole mix will benefit from it. At least that's been my experience working with it so far.
