Well... He asked me tonight if I could give him a version w/no vocals? That he could sing with? I understand the techniques that can accomplish this, I tried them? The results were not good for this song... 

So it looks like I'm going to be covering a modern POP song? Something I've never done before. It will be interesting to attempt? I want to give him a good backdrop to sing against.

What a fun thing to do.  He's got to be overjoyed to be working with his dad and doing something fun like this.  I hope he goes forward with it.   He'll have a great mentor.
