All-in-one - you get your Gibson, your Marshall and the one color... What else is there?

I think I'm salivating...

Merh Yeh, I like that! Everything except the tremolo, those don't go on SGs (IMO). I wonder how many people have sliced their hand open on one of those. I read an interview with Pete somewhere, sometime and he said that in the early years like the Leeds years that every time he would come off stage he'd be bleeding from his picking hand, having watched the way he played, I don't doubt it, LOL. I think that if you can't get a good tone from that rig, it is time to start playing something else...
You really shouldn't post stuff like this, it makes me want more stuff that I really don't need.

Fender, VOX, and Marshall... at the end of the day, that's really all there is in the world of amps. Yeah, there's lots of other amps but not really, and Leo just copied a schematic that RCA provided in order to sell more tubes, Jim Marshall modded a Fender, Randall at Mesa modded a Fender, not sure about VOX Denny may have made an original.

I need NEED a Marshall head.. thanks Rain.

That's pretty much all there is to it at the end of the day, in my world - Marshall, Fender, Vox...

I'm mostly a Marshall guy. That's the one that's the most intuitive to me. I know my sound is somewhere in there, the foundation and the essence of it. Fender and Vox form the other sides of that triangle.

Not that I would say no to a Matchless, or Engl or Orange, or whatever. But I'd be okay w/ just Marshalls, and a couple of Fender and Vox to complement.

I'll take the SG but unless that's a JCM 2000 or some ultra high gain Marshall custom I'd rather have a Hi-Watt or a 5150. Marshall's have a tendency of not giving me what I want for some reason.

They did put out a bass amp quite some time ago with a ten band EQ that my buddy owned and it was pretty awesome. Not for bass... but when I'd borrow it for gigs it pushed some pretty searing guit.
