Loosely related to this thread what VST and VSTi did you get as part of a bundle and never use?

Battery 4 - This came with Komplete but I have not found a use for it. It seems to be very good at EDM type of sounds but the type of sounds I am after seem to be done much better elsewhere.

Spark - from the Arturia V collection. Again decent sounds for the EDM brigade, in fact to my ear some of the best electronic drum sounds around, and maybe even some I could use for other styles but it all seems to be tied into its drum machine interface. I was glad to get a computer based program with a PRV and get away from the horrible limitations of drum machine programing.

Addictive Drums - From X3, tried it but just did not warm to the sound, I can't ever see using it in place of Superior or BFD3.

Overloud THD2 - From X3, I think its the interface that puts me off, I should persevere with it but I usually just call up Amplitube.

Session Drummer - From X3, to be fair I have used this once when I wanted some electronic drum sounds, but I have better else where.

I'm looking forward to buying the Melda Mastering bundle some day.

There are 3 items in it that I think I'll use occasionally, or more specifically that I'd like to have some experience learning how to use in case I occasionally find something to use them on.

I keep looking at the rest of the stuff and thinking I'll never use it and that I don't even want the clutter in my Plug In list, but the math makes it seem like they are just free tag alongs if you know you want to use the 3 items that I have my eye on.

@mccue,

Wish I would have went the Bundle deal on the Melda stuff. Would have saved money and time. I would only have one DL and install every time they release an update and they seem to do that frequently. (which is cool)

That seems like a real good point. Thanks for explaining how the bundle can be beneficial in this way.

If I am not mistaken, if you buy some Melda plugs that are part of a bundle, and you later want to get the bundle that has the plugs you already own, Melda will discount the bundle for what you already own. But you have to contact them about it.

Back to OP:

Addictive Drums for me. I wasn't happy about their DRM protection. And installed it I my everyday PC, changed MB, proc, and added several HD and an SSD, now I can't authorize it on that PC anymore. I didn't realize I had to de-authorize this when i upgraded everything. Reading some of their forum posts I got the idea I am SOL.

Lounge Lizard: Never had a use for it. I may have cranked it up once.

Wow, this was tough for me.   So far, the only one I've come up with is AAS Strum included with X3 - I just never "got" that plugin.   Otherwise, I'm pretty sure everything else bundled with X3 (and X2 and X1...) as well as Komplete 9 has seen use at some point, some more than others of course.

I forgot about "Strum"

Another one I don't use.

Every time i attempt to get a usable sound from strum, i end up motivated to practice guitar

I have never been able to get past TH2's interface either. Sounds great but just never touch it.   Not fan of the spark drum machine aspect either, but i mostly use it as a sound module and program sounds in PRV, step sequencer or just trigger via  drum pads.

I rarely use SD3 since I got Geist, but every now and then when i simply need and a simple multi-out 808 kit it works.
