Thank you Clint! DLing now!

FWIW, S-Gear is my favorite for authentic guitar amp simulation! Glad I jumped in a couple of years ago.

Excellent software that just keeps getting better. Looks like they also made it so you can change amps on the fly within a patch....

Thanks Clint,

Never been able to tell what a cab sounds like, but likely the new cab an improvement at least in choices available.

The new tuner is good and quite precise.

Stereo spread on the delay is a welcome addition with the range from mono to ping pong. So many delay units with mono and ping pong, but no gradient inbetween.

Install was flawless and didn't deactivate the license as was the problem in some earlier versions.

(edit...)

Read the min requirements and it said win 7 or 8. Universe came to a halt for awhile since I'm still working with XP, watching more and more software upgrades incompatible. To any of you dinosaurs out there stuck in the past like me, ver 2.5 does install and runs fine on XP.

Just installed, but could not figure out what the new cabs are named.  I see two special ported 2x12 cabs, but one says Alnico, the other says S12-65; i do not see one that has the alnico and the 12-65 combined as advertised.
How do you guys interpret the new cab names?

BTW, glad to get the tuner.  I have been asking Scuffham for this for several years, since it first came out.

John, I run XP. I asked on the last update about XP and he tested it and he says this new version should work too, as you have found, as nothing has changed that would prevent it from working. He has said he will test it over the next week, which is cool of him.

Strike,

Just a paranoid knee jerk reaction that sent PTSD chills. My next day off, I'll be patching bullet holes in the dry wall.

Dismal losing battle out here on the coast.

Computer is some quad core HP running Win XP.  Even worse (you guys will cry over this...). Have a Delta 1010LT installed with an old 2496. PCI cards clock timed and linked to get 10 channels. Works excellent.

Obsolete now even more than me. Kontakt 9 doesn't recognize XP. Several other software upgrades aborted since win 7 and up required.

Tear jerker in this microcosm is I blew about a thousand dollars on cards and preamps.

Next computer won't accept the PCI cards. Resigned to a financial crash. Guess this is progress.

S-Gear works however. Dev is responsive and compassionate.

Cecilius... Name means a conduit of Light. Heavy burden to pass the torch along, and hope you are up to the struggle.

I have vowed never to pay full price.

Until I get a discount I won't be buying S-Gear.
I know it's good, I've demo'd it...but I never
pay full price for anything....and he almost NEVER
has a sale...I know...I keep watching...just me....

I got in on S-Gear when it was 75.00  I believe it was Version (1. something) .....I've had numerous updates and improvements and additions in 2 years with no price increase or up charges. The program and company are the best of the best. It's still a bargain.
