I am a member of the Tulsa guitar society. I have been the go to guy for members to record their music. My studio is used to record most of the music for the society. CD's are recorded to be sold at functions by local members. This is a song by Local flamenco guitarist Lon De Ada. This is actually a popular classical guitar piece with a spanish twist. The song is called Romanza.

Lon uses an authentic Flamenco guitar with tuning pegs that are wedged in at the top. They are pulled out and twisted to tighten the strings. This guitar has some natural buzz. The hard part was determining between the buzz of the guitar and distortion.

I put this song up so 1. you could enjoy Lon's excellent playing and 2 you can see what we do here. Let me know if you would like to hear another piece we recorded. this recording is up temporarily. When Lon is ready to release his CD I will take it down.

Needless to say this is but one guitar. This makes what he does all the more amazing.

SWEEEEET!!!  Well, I definitely get the idea of what you guys do and it's great.  Recording is really good and the guy is a great guitarist.  I don't hear any buzz but I played in front of huge amps for years.  I can still hear loud amps but have to wear hearing aids so my wife doesn't have to listen to the TV at +90!  Tell your peeps that this is really nice!

Oh yea that's a gorgeous and brilliant arrangement of that.  Lon is truly gifted. I've been practicing the original basic arrangement of this for going on a year now, a wonderful piece but Lon made it so much greater than what it is.  I'll have to get that CD when it’s out for sure.

The Band19
He's good with that fast right hand. I'd like to hear him get going with some lead runs at the same speed. I've heard guys who play this style do that and it's unreal.

Evadianepug Thank you for your kind words. there is a natural buzz that comes from these instruments. I am Sorry to learn about your hearing loss. It is great that you can still hear the really important things like guitar amps.

Ohgrant I play the Christopher Parkening version of this and that was hard enough. When I heard him play this for a warm up I knew we had to record it. The other songs are just amazing. I will put a couple more up as we get them done. Thanks for listening.

The band19 he does have a good right hand. Flamenco has a different approach then Classical. The next song I post of Lon should have some fast runs in it working on 9 tunes now.

Mark The player is really good. He is one of 3 Flamenco players that the guitar society has. I am in discussions about recording the other guys too.

Notnat Thank you for commenting and listening
