thanks man, also one of the first i learned on guitar, after 'house of the rising sun' and neil young's heart of gold.

it's just fun to play, easy, its so cliche, but fun.

hehe, yeah, half speed.
or something along those lines.
actually, probably more like 3/4 speed....

bathroom on the right.

yes, i've heard this, about folks with chronic Lyrichosis getting that line wrong.

LOL

that's why i so clearly ARTICULATED the words.
HA!

thanks for getting it....

and please freely give it away to anyone you think might dig it.

glad you dig those gits....
that was fun to do.

i wasn't sure how i wanted to do it, originally i thought flamenco style, but then it sounded too much like something off of hotel california.
i ended up just trill picking it, with 3 part harmony.
you don't really know what the h3ll the song is, til the lyric kicks in, and i wanted that intro to kind of reinforce that strong unknown identity-before the reveal, so to speak.

pass it around!

kind words, my friend.
appreciate it.
i still like the original the best, but i also like the idea of doing covers as different and unique as can possibly muster.
there are so many good songs out there, that lend themselve to re-interpretation.
i'm sure you do that a lot with older violin pieces that you can rock out....

thanks, glad you dig it.

One of my all time favorite songs....  Your cover is awesome, instruments and vocals are tight and the mix is just right imho.

Yea, I have to say this version is not only different but good.  made it your own.  Still sounds like from the era w/ the guitars up front.  And love the slide intro (and the rest of the slide work).

Top notch all around.

hey, i appreciate that. i tried to make it worth the cover....
i'd love to know what fogarty thinks of it.

trying to be true to the original, while at the same time trying to give it a unique touch.

i don't do a lot of slide...
but i like it.
i'd say Rundgren, of all people, was an influence to the slide style in this... him and maybe george harrison.
