  • Dammit, I'm addicted to a smartphone game again :( (p.2)

For some reason I almost hate playing on a phone. I also have a limited taste elsewhere as Counter strike source is the only game I like to play on PC. Although I must admit I have not tried any new games in years(on pc) except Guildwars 2, which I enjoyed for a couple of hours then I got bored. There is a game coming called City of Titans that I expect a lot from. It is a kickstart mmorpg project that is based on the past great City of Heroes which I thought was the best game. Sorry this was a bit OT.

Thanks Sharke, I'll check out Blendoku.......looks interesting. So far, I'm not addicted to any Smartphone games (yet).....although I did buy my LG G3 with playing games in mind (I rarely use it to talk on....LOL).

The PC game that I am totally addicted to is Team Fortress 2 (in multi player mode). The game play/mechanincs are awesome/well designed and it's always challenging to meet up with better players than you.......I make it a personal challenge to take them out (before being taken out) :)

I have a "best of collection" of soooo many good games that I have yet to play: Skyrim, Borderlands 1 & 2, Tomb Raider, X-Com Enemy Within etc....around 60+ games, but of course TF2 is my go to every night........it's also free on Steam.

I don't know what it is but I just cannot get into those big fancy complex games with "real" graphics. I think at one point after Playstations first came out, I decided I hated console controllers and console games. Too many buttons and controls to learn. And the more realistic the gameplay became, the less interested I was. Funny that. I think I preferred the wacky abstract worlds that you got lost in with less sophisticated computer graphics.

There is one 3D game that I played heavily however and that was Battlefield 1942. Used to play it at a friend's house maybe 12 years ago. It was the first online multiplayer game I'd played and it just seemed amazing at the time, very playable.

Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 3 were given out for free on Origin and both are in my account.....(still have to play it though).

Origing has been giving out freebies on a regular basis (lately.......trying to compete with Steam??) and I won't be surprised if these might be still available or possibly sometime soon (not sure).

You might like TF2 as it's not realistic at all (graphics wise) and the controls are simple (up/down/left/right on the keyboard and the mouse). I do enjoy nice/smooth graphics during gameplay and my HIS 7870 does a fantastic job on 1920x1080.

My wife's addicted to Candy Crush - or whatever the latest incarnation of it is out there.

Me I never liked games that much - real, virtual, board, cards, whatever... One exception was the Castlevania series on Nintendo/Super Nintendo.

And maybe pinball. I always told myself that the first stupid thing I'd do if I made tons of money would be to buy my own KISS pinball machine. For some people it's a private plane, or tanks with sharks in them, or a limousine and a chauffeur. For me, it's a pinball.

I don't think I have played ANY video game of any kind from any decade...other than the original Pong...EVER. I'm assuming that's a good thing.

I got hooked on Checkers on my phone about a year ago. I thought, "this will be an easy game"... hah. NOT. I refuse to play games that make other people rich... except for IK of course, LOL

I had Monopoly on my phone at one point. Boy what a rip. The computer players would very conveniently land between my hotels every time, and I'd land on theirs with each roll of the dice. Plus they'd get all the cool Community Chests and Chances.

Never have enjoyed computer games. The exception is Solitaire which I would as happily play with a real deck of cards as virtual. Of course virtual is easier to play while contemplating on the throne.
