Wow! Amazing stuff. I listened on headphones and the attention you pay to the mix really shines through.

Fantastic.

Cheers,
Terry.

solid halloween songs, check!!

LOL
i guess i know what you mean, but it's such a very small, tight genre...
draculas bites.........
mummys relentlessly slow-chase......
black lagoon creatures swim.....
frankensteins rage.....

sounds like rock and roll to me.

thanks for the kind words..
well, yeah, a movie around it is close, but for me, it's really about putting music or 'soundtrack' to all the best werewolf movies i ever saw....

and yes, this is from the new studio setup, yes...

here's a shot of the session for the werewolf song, minus my acoustics:

the middle section (the scary middle spooky bridge part) used all these guitars to create all the ambient noises, the feedback in harmony, the psuedo screaming parts...

i've got feedback harmony happening in major and minor key, and they continually overlap each other, to create some tension and dissonance

the main rhythm electric parts were done with the '77 Ibanez artist

thanks for listening, glad you dig this one!
sub lows, well, when i mix, i do a 35 hz roll off on the low end on the master bus...

then when i master, i do a similar thing, so i try to take care of real SUBS.......
but i do like a full low end, that's the hardest thing of all to make the call on.

most systems can't even do below 80hz, so for the majority of playback systems it's probalby not an issue, but with anyone using a nice low end enhancement, it may be too much.
i've thought about doing higher roll-offs, it's something i'm still experimenting with quite a bit.
every mix adds up.

thanks for listening.....
"too much going on"....?!
poppycock!!
heheh, well, i like a full production, that's for sure....
it'd be easy to strip this down all the way to one acoustic guitar and one voice..
but i don't hear it that way.
originally, i had this 'marching' effect on the very first version, almost like a drum beat for a funeral procession.
it sounded quite ominous.
over time, it's been whittled and whittled, but there's nothing to say i can't whittle some more.
thanks for commenting......
