Lynn,
Thank you very much! There's nothing wrong with playing it for 10 or 12 people either.

Grant,
Thank you kindly!

Mark,
How did you guess?

Frank,
Thank you, kind sir! It just came to me in a flash as I was playing with the sounds on the DR-880.

James/Night Fox,
Thanks for listening and I'm thrilled that you like it. This one is right in your wheel house.

excellent stuff - love the recurring theme that winds in and out.
The guitar part at the end is fab - want more guitar :)

Thanks Daryl! Unfortunately, it's too late to add more guitars...I've since scrubbed the original tracks.

Amazing how new gear inspires creativity.... definitely not something I would have guessed to be your tune....

I do believe I recall hearing this before.... However, with a short memory, the down side is I can't be 100% sure, the upside is... everything old is still somehow new.

fun mix, this is almost like a cross between dream theatre and prince!

heheh
cuz of the keys, i guess, and the funky drum track...reminds me of stuff like darling nicki

but i love all the diminished inbetween notes, violin is perfect for stuff like this.

it's funny how a simple drum machine groove can turn into the 'skeleton' for layering a bunch of cool stuff on top of....
you did a great job of layering here

Interesting rhythm( I know its a drum machine but I still liked it), liked the dualed guitar sound. The chord changes are also cool. Fits right in with the best of these kinds of songs but still retains an element of individuality.

Yep, that's a good reason to keep buying new gear!

The genre/style caught me off guard too, just as many other genre's I catch myself slipping into.

Thank you very much, Rob! Never heard of darling nicki, but I sure am familiar with the other two you mentioned. The drum machine groove was not that of the machine, but of mine. I manually finger drummed this from start to finish, no loops involved.

Hey scott not bad, I like the violin sound.  Everything is sounding good, the kick feels a lttle cardbord like though, maybe a bump down at 400hz would fix that.

Cool though.  Peace Ben

Thanks Starise! As I mentioned in my reply to bat, this was done on the drum machine but I manually played it with my fingers from start to finishKeeping the pattern going throughout was kinda tricky but I somehow managed. Glad you liked the guitars, chord changes, etc.
