I  really need a pedal board. The bass player( so you know he's gotta be right) suggests I get a pedal board that has amp/effects that I can plug into a PA. My chorus bit the dust tonight. Anyway, he told me when we play at the casino they don't use their amps and the former guitarist ran lines to the house board.
Being a complete Maroon in this I have no idea what's out now. I could use my deluxe as a stage monitor. Would I be better off using a delay to OCD(distortion) to new chorus to wah? I Am old fashioned I guess.
The former guitar player used a Line 6 HD500 but said it broke down alot. Can someone help? Is there a Santa Clause?

There is now a line6 Hd500X but I haven't heard much about it. I'd love go get the FX8 but $1500 is just too much. The FX8 pedal is sold separately also

Here you are with a new band, expecting to make money, and they want you to SPEND SPEND SPEND on an effects system, in ear monitors, new threads , etc...

Its the craftsman, not the tools...

BTW, a direct box to run your existing pedals into, is a lot cheaper than a 1500 dollar pedal board...OR  look at Tec21 Sans Amp

SansAmp products are designed to work seamlessly in both recording and stage environments. They can be used with almost any instrument, for any music style, and for multiple applications. Record directly to tape and disc or enhance previously recorded tracks. For live performances, they can drive a power amp and speakers, augment your existing amplifier set-up, or run directly into the mixer of a PA system.

Since I mentioned the FX8...
It's not $1,500.00 it's $1,349.95 and I'm sorry if that's splitting hairs but
when I'm looking at what I get for my dollar I want to know how many I'm thinking about.

Bill the real problem is that I think you're needing something now and with the FX8 you can't
just order it and get it in a few days anyway. Bummer.
It would be that or the AXE FXII for me. Anything else for stage AND studio work just doesn't seem to fit for me.

I'm not a salesperson so I'm not going into all the reasons or trying to lead you in a direction...I just like what
Fractal is doing and know where my dollars would go. It's also a new unit so thought I'd mention it for folks in case
they missed it.
Sure hope you find exactly what fits your needs.

Hi Bill,
I have no idea if there is a Santa Clause .
I think if you throw a long white bead on that lobster in your avatar I could tell you there would be such a thing as a Santa Claws

You didn't mention if your band has it's own  sound man or not for the Casino gig ?
In a best case scenario your new band having it's own sound man is a Plus …
if that is not the case you could go out and drop big money and still wind up sounding like $hit …

I have no idea if I can be any help to you . Have you considered a low cost type of solution ?
Something you can work with in the mean time ?
Maybe something like a small low cost programable Mustang Amp that you could sent out to the house mains or even better this self contained fully programable pedal board ….

With a little creative tweaking and programing the Fender unit may turn out to be a good low cost alternative to some of the more expensive choices that are out there .

Good luck , I wish you the best in your search .

Casinos usually have their own sound guy down here

As much I wish you well with the new band:

Don't know exactly what you're looking for in a pedal board but two inexpensive ones to take a look at are the new Line6 AmplifIFX 100 and the Fender Mustang pedalboard.  Both look interesting and, as I said, relatively cheap.  I absolutely love my Mustang V2 III.  100 watts, loud as damnit and light as a feather...and the modeling is totally great.  In fact, if you're a Fender amp fan and user, as I am, you won't believe how accurate these little amps sound.  Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Guys so much! I will have to make due with what I have cuz I don't have the money to get anything right now. I can use my Univibe in place of the chorus right now. Research is key!

P.S. I sure wish money grew on my tree cuz that FX8 looks awesome
